I'm currently a junior attending Purdue University where I'm pursuing a degree in User Experience Design with a minor in psychology and a certificate in collaborative leadership. I have always had a passion for technology and design and absolutely love working in a field that allows me to creatively combine the two!
I am originally from Seattle, Washington where I developed my love for all outdoor activities including hiking, biking, swimming, and running. When I'm not designing you can find me reading, baking, or spending time with my friends and family:)
Through my experience as a student, intern, and designer, I have picked up some skills, values, and practices that I feel are essential in making a successful designer.
While there are so many important values to follow in the world of UX, these are some of the practices I try to apply to my everyday life and make me who I am as a designer:
It's important to craft a design process that is optimized to fit each project's specific requirements. No two projects will have the same approach or design process.
Taking notice of design trends and user experiences in everyday products can spark inspiration and be a point of reference in future designs.
I value working with a growth mindset of continuous improvement. This mindset fosters a positive environment and serves as a reminder that design work is never finished.
Constructive criticism can serve as a catalyst for innovation in design. It's important to find value in criticism and view it as an opportunity instead.
